What tours cost in Sagres: all 20 offers from €10 to €1,215
Updated October 14, 2026 · 8 min read
Sagres has a small activity market: 20 bookable offers in our selection, carrying 1,900 reviews between them. The cheapest is €10, the dearest €1,215, and the median is €65. That last figure is the most useful one on this page – half of everything here costs €65 or less.
A small market is easier to see whole than a big one. Below is the entire selection, in order, so you can place any single booking page against everything else rather than against your expectations.
Every offer, cheapest first

| €10 | Sagres Fortress entry ticket | – | 16 |

| €1,215 | Rota Vicentina guided trek | 8 days | 0 |
Fourteen of the 20 cost €95 or less. The top of the table is not a normal holiday afternoon: it is one eight-day guided trek and three private charters.
The price label matters more than the number
Look at the two €300 entries. One is per person for eight hours; the other is per group up to 8 for four hours. At face value they are the same price. For four people they are €1,200 and €300.
This is the single most expensive misreading available in this selection, and it takes two seconds to avoid: on any booking page, read the small line under the figure before the figure itself. Our private or group tour guide works through where that tips.
A second habit worth building: multiply before you decide. A €65 boat trip is a €260 morning for a family of four. A €140 beach ride is €280 for a couple. Per-person pricing hides the number that actually leaves your account.
Cost per hour, which reorders everything
Divide price by duration and the table rearranges itself:
- €14.40 per hour – the Sagres Wine Escape, four and a half hours for €65. The cheapest guided hour in the selection, and the one with no reviews behind it.
- €15 per hour – coasteering, four hours for €60. The cheapest hour with a substantial review record.
- €15.75 per hour – the jeep sunset tour, four hours for €63.
- €19.30 per hour – the seven-hour coast tour at €135.
- €31.70 per hour – the three-hour Wildlife Adventure at €95.
- €33 per hour – the 90-minute dolphin trip at €50.
- €70 per hour – both horse rides, at €70 for one hour and €140 for two.
Short boat trips and horse riding are expensive per minute. That is not a complaint about the operators: a boat burns fuel whether it sails for one hour or four, and one horse carries one rider. But if your question is “what gives me most for the money”, the long land tours win it outright, and it is the opposite of what the headline prices suggest.
Why one category average is misleading
Our category figures give the sunset group a median of €200 across three offers. Nobody should read that as the cost of watching the sun go down at the cape. Two of those three cost €200 and €300; the cheapest sunset outing in the selection is also the most-reviewed, at €63.
The same distortion runs the other way in the “experiences” group – 10 offers with a median of €137.50, pulled up by the trek and pulled down by a €10 ticket. Medians are honest about a category and useless about a decision. Use the table above instead.
The one grouping that behaves normally is dolphin watching: five offers, from €50, median €65, 265 reviews between them. That is a genuine price range for a genuine like-for-like choice, and our dolphin watching selection lays the boats side by side.
Reviews cluster at the cheap end
The four most-reviewed activities here – 459, 360, 287 and 197 ratings – cost €63, €70, €60 and €140. The four dearest entries in the table carry three reviews between them, and all three belong to one of them.
That is not evidence the dear ones are worse. It is evidence that they are newer, smaller or both, and that you are buying with far less information. Five offers in this selection have no reviews at all. If you book one, you are the evidence base, and the price should reflect that risk to you.
What the price does not include
Inclusions vary and the gaps are predictable. The seven-hour coast tour includes transport and a guide, and no admission ticket – so the fortress interior remains a separate €10, as our fortress ticket guide explains. Meals are rarely included on the day tours. Wetsuit and equipment generally are included on the water activities, but check rather than assume.
And there is the cost nobody prices: getting there. Several of these start somewhere other than Sagres – Raposeira, Carrapateira, Lagos, even Lisbon in one case. Without a car that can decide the booking on its own, which is why our without a car guide is worth reading before a price table.
Two notes on the figures themselves
All prices here are the euro prices of our selection. A booking page opened from outside Europe may display dollars at whatever rate applies that day; the figure you compare against this table should be the euro one.
And these are “from” prices – the lowest available rate, not a fixed fare. Peak dates, a private departure or a chosen start time can all sit above them. Treat the table as the shape of the market, then confirm the real number on the date you want. The whole selection is on the Sagres activities page.
